Awestruck would be the most appropriate word to describe the feelings of all watching the innings of Khushroo Wadia on a beautiful labour day Monday. Playing on a field that offered batsmen no value for any shots, Khushroo unleashed a patient, yet devastating onslaught upon the Caledonia hurricanes. Swinging his bat with the force of Thor swing his mighty hammer Mjolnir, Khushroo hit the ball to every part of the park with a rarely seen display of clean and powerful hitting.
Khushroo was undoubtedly on his way to a double hundred before severe cramps shortened his stay at the crease. In the end, it was a masterful innings from a classy individual and one, that most importantly helped the Ramblers (2nd division) earn a victory in their final match of the season.
